Cub Scout Pack 746

The St. Pius X community has a long tradition of supporting Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. As a program for the entire family, Cub Scouting can help families teach their children a wholesome system of values and beliefs while building and strengthening relationships among family members. Cub Scouting helps parents and sons grow closer, and your involvement as a parent of a Cub Scout is vital. Cub Scouting is an active program. Boys learn by doing, and there's no end to the fun things that Cub Scouts do in their dens, as a pack, and at special events. With activities held at every level—family, den, and pack—Cub Scouting provides a year-round program of fun and learning for boys and their families.

Some of the events Pack 746 Cub Scouts participate in annually are: Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta (model boat racing), “Scouting for Food” (food drive service project), summer pool party at the KayCee pool, summer pack picnic, Ranger’s ballgame, Spring and Fall family campouts, a five evening “twilight camp” in June, “Cub Fun” Day Camp, Blue and Gold Banquet in February, Oktoberfest, and Fishing Fun Day.

At St Pius X, Pack 746 is made up of five dens; each grade level has its own den (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos I, and Webleos II). Den leaders are parents involved in the St. Pius X community. Den meetings are the stepping stones by which a boy progresses through the Cub Scout program. At pack meetings, families celebrate their achievements along the way. Den meetings are held a couple of times a month and the pack meeting for Pack 746 meeting is usually held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Pius X Communion Hall.

Boy Scout Troop 746

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouting is open to boys who have completed the fifth grade and are between 11 to 18 years old.  No prior Scouting experience is necessary.  Every Scouting activity and way of organizing and doing things has a purpose behind it.  The purpose is to help the boys grow in moral strength and character, become participating citizens, and develop physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional fitness.  Scouting is education.  The Troop at St. Pius X is committed to helping the young men of today to become the leaders of tomorrow. We teach the scouts to be courteous, kind, helpful, and self-reliant while having fun. Scouts have numerous outdoor activities like camping, hiking, and canoeing throughout the year.

Boy Scout Troop 746

Troop 746 was formed in 1961 and recently celebrated its 50th anniversary at St. Pius X. Troop 746 meets every Monday at 7:15 PM in the St. Pius X Scout Room. We look forward to meeting you and your son.
