Parents and Students,
Welcome back to the 2017-18 SPX School year! I am so excited to be a partner in your child's education. Together we can provide the path for our children to grow in their faith, to become life-long learners, and compassionate & driven members of society.
4th Grade Summary
4th grade is a pivotal year in that students are required to become more independent in their work. We ask for your support in encouraging your child to take more responsibility and ownership of their work. Students will not only be challenged academically, but we will also work on some life-skills such as organization, time management, study skills, perseverance, and creating & maintaining a strong work ethic, and problem solving. Students will also practice with their words & actions how to live a virtuous life according to God's will.
A Little About Me
I am a graduate of Texas Woman's University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology '96. I received my teaching certificate in 1998, and am certified to teach Elementary 1-6. I am a product of Catholic School upbringing as I attended St. Thomas Aquinas, and graduated from Bishop Lynch in 1991. Being raised in a Catholic school, I have always wanted to "come back to my roots' and teach in a religious setting. God has answered my prayers as I am proudly a teacher at St. Pius X.
Personally, I am the youngest of four siblings growing up on the "M Streets" of Dallas. I am currently engaged to a wonderful man, Lee. We will be married in Dallas in June of 2018. I have 2 wonderful "boys" of the 4-legged kind. Scout is a Miniature Schnauzer, and Marley is a Lab mix. In my spare time I enjoy going to the movies, eating at one of my favorite restaurants, spa days, and traveling. I am a sports fan & will cheer on all Dallas professional teams. I have a special heart for the Texas Rangers! I will also root for the University of Texas Longhorns and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
