St Pius X will be offering Co-ed Soccer to all athletes in 5th – 8th grade; we encourage all those interested to sign up. Junior Varsity (5th and 6th) and Varsity (7th and 8th) teams will participate in the Dallas Parochial League with other parochial schools.

 

NOTE: THERE IS ALSO AN END OF THE SEASON TOURNAMENT THAT ONLY 7th and 8th GRADERS CAN PARTICIPATE IN.

 

Practices: Beginning in late Feb., practices are held typically at SPX or local fields at the coach’s discretion. Regular season practices are typically held two days a week for 1 ½ hours each practice (TBA).

 

**Note: It is possible for an athlete to compete in soccer and also play baseball, softball, or track, however there may be conflicts occasionally with the schedules.

 

Uniforms: SPX provides jerseys.

 

**Player must provide or purchase: cleats, shorts, socks and shin guards.

 

Games: Regular season games are typically held on Saturdays, Sundays and some Fridays from the end of March to the end of May. All games are typically held at, Bishop Lynch High School & Bishop Dunne Catholic School

 

Sports Physicals: All athletes must have a physical on file with the athletic director to participate. If your son or daughter has already turned in a physical form with a previous sport, then no additional form is needed.

 

Coaches: We need volunteer assistant coaches for these sports teams (both JV and Varsity levels). You must be safe environment and “Play like a Champion” cleared. If you’re interested please contact Coach  Nester. (nnester@spxdallas.org)

Team practices may begin anytime after the end of basketball season.

 

Soccer Season begins: at the end of March

 

Soccer fees are: $100 per player (must be turned in with sports form).

 

If your athlete is a 7th or 8th grader and they would like to participate in both, the seasonal and tournament, then one fee of $100 will cover both.  If your athlete would only like to participate in the tournament, then the fee is $100.00.
